Woodville park is approximately 100 acres in size – that’s 20 times the size of Gloucester Point Beach Park! It is located in Ordinary off of Bray’s Point Road. The park was once part of a plantation or farm called “Woodville.”
This new nature park contains both wetlands and woodlands where we are planning athletic facilities, walking trails, gardens and possibly an amphitheater. See site plan below for proposed layout. As of the Spring of 2014 we have completed two soccer fields, a sand volleyball/soccer court, picnic areas, gardens, memorial walk and two ponds. Land has been cleared for football and soccer fields. Most of the work has been completed by Volunteers, both individuals and groups. Volunteers and fundraising ideas are always needed. If you would like to help please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org
The park land was a gift to Gloucester County by the Lanciano Family. We are now in the process of planning the layout and uses of the park.
An athletic field and sand soccer court have been completed at the park. A nearly $500,000 entrance and service road for the park was constructed with grant and donated funds. Other roads, parking lots, a second athletic field and habitat pond are under currently construction.
